In 2019 Merseyside Safeguarding Adults Board (MSAB) and John Moores University (JMU) teamed up to develop a guide, designed to support practitioners who work with adults that self-neglect and hoard.
As part of the research for this document the two organisations hosted seminars for professionals; from housing, the NHS, social care, the fire service, and more. They also requested to visit our peer group for input.
The peer group hosted staff from both of the organisations and provided feedback to questions that were posed to them. They were then left a draft of the toolkit and in the following meeting compiled feedback for JMU and MSAB.
